Season Kick-off - Oct. 30 & 31

October 30 and 31 is the beginning of the 2021/22 MBA season. Our participants are excited to be playing basketball again and for the first time in more then a year in front of their fans.

The league has spent a great deal of time creating policies and procedures which have been approved by the venues we rent each week  to be able to permit spectators. Please ensure you take some time to read and understand the policy

If your team does not have someone at the door available to check the teams spectators proof of vaccination YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED IN! All players, coaches, officials and spectators (over the age of 12) will need to come prepared with their Proof of Vaccination and ID. Failure to do so will result in you not being permitted access to the venue. Please take note of the variation in policies below for the various facilities we rent.


Spectator Policy by Gym

All Halifax Centre for Education Gym (HRCE Schools) - All school gyms will follow the MBA Proof of Vaccination policy as outlined above. Teams are required to check all their teams spectators to ensure they are in compliance with the Nova Scotia Proof of Vaccination Policy.

Canada Games Centre - No spectators permitted

Ecole Beaubassin - No Spectators permitted

East Dartmouth Community Centre - Facility will follow the MBA Proof of vaccination policy as outlined above. Teams are required to check all their teams spectators to ensure they are in compliance with the Nova Scotia Proof of Vaccination Policy. A maximum of 40 spectators per game are permitted.

East Preston Recreation Centre - Facility will follow the MBA Proof of vaccination policy as outlined above. Teams are required to check all their teams spectators to ensure they are in compliance with the Nova Scotia Proof of Vaccination Policy. 

Community YMCA - TBD

Zatzman Sportsplex - Facility staff will be checking all spectators and participants as they enter the building to ensure they are in compliance with the Nova Scotia Proof of Vaccination Policy. Proof of vaccination and ID is required for entrance into the venue, if someone (participant included) is missing proof of vaccination or ID they will not be granted access into the building.

HRM Rec Centres (BHPCC & CPA) - Facility staff will be checking all spectators and participants as they enter the building to ensure they are in compliance with the Nova Scotia Proof of Vaccination Policy. Proof of vaccination and ID is required for entrance into the venue, if someone (participant included) is missing proof of vaccination or ID they will not be granted access into the building.
